As spring snow gently fell in March, women’s brilliance blossomed. On March 5, the School of Economics and Management hosted a special event themed “Blooming with Grace, Walking with Fragrance” to celebrate International Women’s Day. Blending elegance with vitality, the event was thoughtfully designed for female faculty and staff—using flowers as a medium and walking as a shared experience—to honor the extraordinary contributions of women in their everyday roles.

A Room Filled with Flowers, Creativity in Full Bloom
At 2:00 p.m., Room 1205 of the SEM Building was transformed into a sea of flowers. Carnations conveyed tenderness, baby’s breath evoked romance, and sunflowers radiated warmth. A rich array of fresh flowers and decorative materials was carefully arranged, awaiting the creative touch of participants.
Stepping away from their busy schedules, female faculty and staff immersed themselves in a dialogue with beauty amid the fragrance of flowers. Trimming stems, selecting colors, and shaping designs, they shifted from rigorous scholars to artists of everyday life. Under their skillful hands, each bouquet gradually took shape—some delicate and elegant, others vibrant and bold—each reflecting the unique charm of its creator.
Light Steps Through Spring Snow
At 3:30 p.m., following a light snowfall, the campus air felt especially fresh. Having completed their floral creations, participants gathered in front of the SEM Building for an energizing campus walk. Along a carefully planned route, they strolled together, discovering a renewed vitality in the familiar surroundings now adorned with spring snow. Conversations flowed naturally—from professional insights to everyday stories—accompanied by laughter that echoed along the way.
From artistry at their fingertips to energy in every step, the School crafted an event that combined tranquility and movement, reflecting its holistic care for the well-being of female faculty and staff. Looking ahead, the School will continue to foster a supportive and inclusive environment by creating more opportunities for expression, connection, and growth—empowering every woman to shine in her pursuits and write extraordinary stories in ordinary life.
